Try it
Check one plot, now.
Draw a cocoa or rubber plot of up to 500 hectares in southern Nigeria. Forestline reads the EU 2020 forest map, the tree loss record and two satellite photos, and answers Clear, Check or Stop with its reasons.
Zoom in to your plot, then click its corners in order.

2. The plot
Click the corners on the map, or paste a plot as GeoJSON ([longitude, latitude], WGS84). The free check takes plots up to 500 hectares.
3. The Check
The try-it does not create a workspace or save your plot to one. A few tries are allowed from each connection each hour.
Limits
What this does not tell you.
- A Check is a reading of open satellite photos and forest records. It is an indicator, not proof, and not an approval.
- The EU 2020 forest map is often wrong over shaded cocoa and rubber. A person must review every Check before the shipment is approved.
- Clouds can hide land. The result says how much of your plot each photo could see.
- A Check says nothing about who owns the land or whether the farm is legal.
- The free check takes one plot of up to 500 hectares, inside southern Nigeria (latitude 4 to 10, longitude 2.6 to 10.5). To check bigger estates or plots anywhere else, get started.
- A plot you draw by hand is only as good as your farm edge. In the app, a field officer walks the boundary with a phone.
