What Forestline is
Forestline is a tool that helps you map plots, check them against open satellite photos and forest records, link plots to bags, lots and shipments, and build a proof pack. It gathers and checks evidence. It does not file the EU form, and it does not tell you that your goods may enter the EU.
What a result means
- Clear, Check and Stop are readings of open records by fixed rules. They are indicators, not proof and not an approval.
- Forestline AI can misread a photo or a paper. A person in your workspace must review every Check, and every farm where the maps and Forestline AI disagree, before the shipment is approved for handoff.
- The EU buyer that files the EU form stays responsible for its own risk check. You stay responsible for the truth of what you give your buyer.
- Forestline gives no legal advice. For your own case, ask a lawyer or your EU buyer.
Your account and workspace
- You must give true details and keep your password private. You are responsible for the people you invite.
- You own the records and files you add. You let Forestline store and process them to give you the service, including sending the relevant parts to Forestline AI. Forestline runs on Amazon Web Services in Ireland. Forestline AI is processed by Amazon Web Services in the EU, and Voice Sign-up turns speech into words with Amazon Web Services in Ireland.
- You must have the right to add the farmers' details and plot locations you put in, and you must have their agreement before you share locations with a buyer.
Plans and payment
Plans are priced in naira and billed month to month. Every plan has every feature; plans differ in plots, packs and Forestline AI reads. You can cancel at any time, and you keep the right to export your data. Limits are shown on the pricing page.
What you may not do
- Use Forestline to give a buyer plot locations or documents you know to be false.
- Try to break into other workspaces, or overload the service.
- Use the try-it Check to run a very large number of plots.
Open data
Results use public records that carry their own licences. See the privacy page for the list. Map data from OpenStreetMap contributors is used under the Open Database Licence.
Limits of our responsibility
We work to keep Forestline correct and available, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or always online, and satellite photos have limits that every result shows. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for a lost sale or a held shipment that follows from a result. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes and contact
We will tell workspace owners before the terms change in a way that matters. Questions: hello@forestline.live.
