What we store
- Your sign-in details: your name, email and a scrambled form of your password.
- Your workspace: the company name, the people you invite and their roles.
- The records you add: farmers (names, phone numbers, community, how they hold the land), plots (farm edges and areas), purchases, lots and shipments.
- Files you upload: photos, receipts, land papers, survey plans and voice recordings.
- The results Forestline makes: the satellite photos cut to your plots, the Check results and reasons, reviews, and the packs you build.
- A record of who changed what, so a buyer or an auditor can follow it.
Who sees it
- People you invite to your workspace see what their role allows: owners and managers see everything, field officers add records but cannot delete or build packs.
- Your EU buyer sees only the pack you choose to send them.
- Farmers' plot locations are marked as shareable only when the farmer has agreed. Record that agreement in Forestline.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it to advertise.
- The try-it Check on this site sends the farm edge you draw to our server to run the Check. It does not create a workspace.
How Forestline AI uses your data
Forestline AI is given only the photos, files and facts needed for the task in front of it: one receipt, one plot's photos, one question. A person reviews every Check. Forestline AI is told to say "not sure" rather than guess.
Where Forestline and Forestline AI run
- Forestline runs on Amazon Web Services in Ireland.
- Forestline AI reads, notes and translations are processed by Amazon Web Services in the EU.
- Voice Sign-up turns speech into words with Amazon Web Services in Ireland. Forestline AI then fills the farmer record from the words.
- Satellite and forest records come from public sources, listed below.
How long we keep it
Europe's no-deforestation rule (EUDR) asks EU buyers to keep their records for five years, so we keep a workspace's records while the workspace is open. You can ask us to export or delete your workspace. Deleting it removes the records and files from our systems; copies of packs you have already sent to a buyer are theirs.
Your rights
Nigeria's data protection law (the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023) and, for EU buyers and EU residents, the EU's GDPR give people rights to see, correct and delete data about them. Farmers in your workspace have those rights too. Write to us and we will help you answer them. We aim to follow both laws; this page makes no claim that we are certified under either.
